Seventeen highlighter - Metallic Cream

I've never tried anything from the make up brand Seventeen before, and I've never been into highlighters really, but I received this in a gift set at Christmas, and I've really been enjoying using it. Seventeen isn't an expensive make up brand, so I wasn't really expecting much of this highlighter, but I actually like it.
I was a little confused as to what it was when I first got it, as they brand it as a 'metallic cream' but I soon realised that it was meant to be used as a highlighter. I apply this with my fingers to the top of my cheek bones, and sometimes on my brow bone, and it is quite shimmery on your finger, but on the face it just gives you a natural glow. It's a pink toned highlighter, which I thought wouldn't suit my skin tone, as I have more yellow toned skin, but it's perfect.
I was quite worried as its a cream, because I thought it wasn't going to go on the top of my foundation very well, but I think this is the first cream product out of the ones that I have tried that does actually blend perfectly with my foundation.
I am now very curious to try other highlighters, especially powder ones, as I have realised how they can finish a make up look. The packaging of this highlighter isn't the best, its just a little plastic pot, but for the price it's fine.
I can tell that this highlighter is going to last a long time, as I only need a tiny bit every time I use it, and I haven't made a dent in the pot yet.
I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a cheap highlighter, or to someone that's a bit sceptical of highlighters, as I am now a strong believer in highlighters and use this in my make up routine every day.

Topshop 'Nails'

When it comes to nail polish I'm quite fussy - it has to be the perfect colour, it has to be opaque in 2 coats, the brush needs to be wider that normal, and the texture needs to be just right. I got a set of three nail polishes from topshop last week for my birthday.

I have never tried the topshop nail polishes before, because I wasn't really expecting much of them. But I've given them a try, and I'm really impressed, the brush is quite thick and they're opaque in one coat, which is amazing!.

As always the topshop packaging is adorable, with the white top with black polka dots. The colour I have is Black Currant 302 which is a deep purple almost black, which dries to a satin affect.
These nail polishes are very reasonably priced at £5, definitely worth it. I can't wait to try more colours, and even some of the matte shades. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

I absolutely love the Revlon lip butters , they are amazing. They come in a wonderful range of colours. They are widely available, as Superdrug and Boots always stock most of the beautiful shades.
They give a lovely hint of colour to your lips, to make them stand out. As they are a lip butter, they are super moisturising. They are perfect for even the driest of lips. I love that they don't dry my lips out like some lipsticks.
They are not totally opaque, but I wasn't expecting them to be as they're a lip butter. They give a natural glossy finish, which isn't sticky. Some of them have glitter in them, so be aware of that if you're not keen on a glittery lip.
I really like the packaging, I think it makes the product look more expensive than what it is. The textured lid gives it a nice touch, but what I really like is the actual lipstick container which is mirrored, which gives it a sleek feel. I also like the way they open, they open and close differently to an average lipstick, which I like, but I do find it hard to open sometimes (this could just be me!)
I have a couple of the shades, but this one is a gorgeous glittery pinky nude. It's a very natural colour which is perfect for any occasion. Even though this is one of the glittery/shimmery shades, I assure you that the glitter particles do not feel grainy at all, you cant feel that they're there at all.
They're a little expensive for a drugstore lip product, as they're £7.99, so I do choose my shades carefully. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody, and I hope to invest in some more shades soon. This shade is 025 Peach Parfait.

Nivea Regenerating Night Cream

This Regenerating Night Cream is part of the Nivea Daily Essentials range. I bought this just after Christmas, so I've been using it for about a month. I was looking for a drugstore night moisturiser, that was really going to nourish my skin. I've heard a lot about some high end night moisturisers, but I decided that I would try to find alternatives in the drugstore first.
I use the day oil control moisturiser from the same range, and I really like it. I have combination skin, so I didn't really want a heavy moisturiser to put all over my face, just on some of the dry patches I have, and this moisturiser is perfect!. It is quite heavy and thick, but it feels really silky on the skin, and keeps my dry patches under control.

I put it on quite heavily at night, and in the morning my skin feels super soft, and nourished, a perfect base for my make up. It has the normal Nivea scent to it, which is really pleasant. It's also nice to use around the eyes as it wakes them up in the morning.

I would highly recommend this moisturiser, and I will definitely repurchase. It's also worth it's price of £4.35.
